Sue Bingham C-Suite Network Advisor Since November 2021

Leadership
Sue Bingham, Founder and Principal of HPWP Group, started a small consulting team over 25 years ago after she became disenchanted as a corporate executive with the HR role people chose to play or were directed to play. Rather than policy administration, traditional disciplinary practices and handling employee complaints, she chose to add value to the business by coaching managers and leaders to adopt practices and behaviors that demonstrate and maximize the value of people. Since then she and her team have helped visionary, courageous leaders create a high trust culture of adult communication and high expectations that results in attracting and retaining truly great people. Significantly increased productivity, innovation and profitability are guaranteed by-products.
Through the High Performance Leadership Workshop, which she authored, Sue has equipped hundreds of leaders to become agents of change in their personal and business lives.

"As I reflect on 2021, one of the highlights for me was attending Sue’s High Performance Leadership Workshop. I have experienced the sustainable and positive impact of her programs and consulting for at least five different organizations by interviewing their leaders and employees, yet, I hadn’t understood first-hand how she accomplished such amazing culture and business transformation.
In less than one week, the workshop and consulting during the workshop changed mine and other’s beliefs and mindset about leadership, provided skills to enhance each person’s emotional intelligence, and taught practical skills to give people tools in which they could immediately take action. The program was inspiring, challenging, and pushed us all to embrace a higher level of functioning as leaders in our organizations and families.
She not only taught us as individuals, but also created teams during the week that emulated the kind of teams that we all work with in our workplace including the setting of stretch goals, opportunities to give each other feedback, establishing an environment of transparent communication, and magically creating a highly supportive team that not only lasted for the week, but in my case, also provided support for months afterwards, even though none of us worked together or lived in similar locations.
I came away individually transformed and witnessed leaders of many different age groups and experience levels who also came away inspired, more effective in their communication and presentation as leaders, and with a higher consciousness that led to more effective responses to difficult leadership situations.
She and her team have always modeled the highest levels of communication, leadership, accountability, and quality, caring service that were taught during the program.
I would recommend HPWP Group’s leadership and culture change program to any organization committed to truly raising the level of leadership at all levels of their organization – from the CEO to individual contributors. There is no question that individuals and teams that participate in your program will be changed forever – like Sue’s client organizations I visited over the past 10+ years that sing her praises at the deepest level of genuine and authentic sharing.

" I would like to endorse and highly recommend Sue Bingham and HPWP to any who desire improved performance personally or organizationally. I have benefited from Sue’s leadership personally and professionally since 2005. I could provide many specific examples of both, but for brevity’s sake I will select only one.
I was CFO with a large manufacturer who had 18 facilities and over 8,000 associates. We had tried on at least two occasions to implement LEAN/Six Sigma principles using consultants from one of the world’s top engineering universities and on a separate occasion a highly regarded consulting firm. Both efforts yielded virtually no performance improvement or behavior change.
We became convinced our efforts were failing because we had a toxic culture. We chose to partner with Sue and through her HPWP workshops and separate Leadership tutorials began to change our culture. Approximately eighteen months into our culture change process we initiated our LEAN/Six Sigma efforts (without consultants) and experienced tremendous success. With Sue’s guidance and use of HPWP workshops our Leadership and front-line associates had developed relationships and trust in each other producing tremendous performance gains that translated into bottom line improvement.
The thing I most appreciate with Sue and her approach to performance improvement is the steps to achieving results are practical, measurable, and not difficult to implement.
In our case Sue and HPWP brought tangible improvement to multiple areas of our company. If this approach appeals to your situation, I would highly recommend speaking with Sue today.

"I have been working with Sue Bingham and her team for nearly a decade now. From the first meeting with Sue, I realized she was different than other consultants I had worked with during my career. She understands what motivates people and how leaders can maximize the potential of their team members.
I participated in the HPWP five-day workshop, led by Sue and her colleagues. This may have been one of the most influential weeks of my career. The principles that were taught were on the surface almost common sense but could be so profound if applied correctly in an organization. As a company we began to adopt the philosophies we learned in the program. The change was palpable to our organization. We began to remove the bureaucracy that had built up over the years and transitioned to using what was in the best interest of the company and fellow employees guide our business and decisions. As a leader, I was forced to rethink how I engage with my team and how I handle difficult situations. I realized that asking questions and expecting thoughtful answers was more important than having every answer and telling our team what to do and how to do it. I found myself empowering my team and being comfortable with not always having the best idea or being the most knowledgeable on a subject. I also realized that nothing says more about a leader than who you hire, who you promote, and who you fire. People respond to action and as a leader I had to lead with my actions. Sue was engaged the entire time over this transition. She is always available for questions or to vet and idea and always has a thoughtful response.
Sue has also helped me in my personal life. Many of the principles she teaches for business are applicable in everyday situations with friends and loved ones. I found myself interacting in a more positive manner with both my wife and children. I am truly grateful to development and learning that has come from my relationship with Sue and I look forward to our continued relationship.
