Do you feel trapped in an exhausting juggling act with no end in sight? It\u2019s time to take a step back and practice some self-care.<\/p>\n<p>Parents, we live in extremely stressful times. But prioritizing everyone else\u2019s needs at the expense of our own isn\u2019t the answer. When we fall into this trap, our own health and wellness suffers, preventing us from becoming the parents we\u00a0<i>want<\/i>\u00a0to be.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Take Care of Yourself | Katherine Winter-Sellery | Conscious Parenting Revolution\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/chVumTjIo4U?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/csuiteold.c-suitenetwork.com\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I know you\u2019re committed to being 100% present for your children\u2014and that means first allowing yourself the bandwidth to fulfill your own needs.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re all familiar with the oxygen mask analogy: you have to put your own mask on first. It sounds easy in theory, but in practice, it\u2019s not always easy to prioritize yourself. Know that when you practice self-care, you ARE becoming a better parent for your children.<\/p>\n<p>And taking care of yourself doesn\u2019t have to be overly lavish or take tons of time. It can be doing something simple:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Going for a quick walk<\/li>\n<li>Calling a friend<\/li>\n<li>Spending quality time with your partner (without the kids!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If there\u2019s one thing you should remember, it\u2019s that taking care of others starts with taking care of yourself.
