The sales process can be a long and winding road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BUT there are several factors<\/strong>\u00a0totally within your control that make it go faster and easier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The most important one<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; by far &#8211; is asking smart questions early and often.<\/p>\n<p>Think about it:\u00a0<strong>delays in your sales process<\/strong>\u00a0come from one main source&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Surprises.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t want surprises on their end &#8211; and they don\u2019t like surprises on your end.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each surprise or question or unexpected element<\/strong>\u00a0can add anywhere from a week to a month to your sales process &#8211; and you don\u2019t want that.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding this, you\u2019ll want to ask them some\u00a0<strong>key selling questions<\/strong>\u00a0early on in your conversations and throughout at every major step and milestone.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s cover them together now so you can begin using these\u00a0<strong>21 killer sales questions<\/strong>\u00a0to close more deals &#8211; more easily and more often.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you were to decide this is a good idea, how do you buy things like this?<\/li>\n<li>How do you implement?<\/li>\n<li>What should I know about your timing? Signoffs?<\/li>\n<li>When do you budget for things like this?<\/li>\n<li>Do you think this deal is going to work?<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s missing or what should we add?<\/li>\n<li>Are you going to pitch it?<\/li>\n<li>What else do you need to see from me?<\/li>\n<li>Can I help you put together some numbers?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have some numbers I could include?<\/li>\n<li>Who else besides you will be making this decision?<\/li>\n<li>Are \u201cthey\u201d going to like it?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT are they going to like?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT are they going to push back on?<\/li>\n<li>What else is going to be in our way?<\/li>\n<li>How would YOU respond to that?<\/li>\n<li>What answers do you need from me to so you\u2019re prepared to answer their questions?<\/li>\n<li>How much detail do YOU want?<\/li>\n<li>How much detail will THEY want?<\/li>\n<li>Are there any surprises we should be prepared for?<\/li>\n<li>If this were just you and me, how excited would you be to move ahead on a scale of 0-10?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Hint:<\/strong>\u00a0If they answer 9 or 10 &#8211; you\u2019re good; If they answer 7 or 8 &#8211; ask, &#8220;What would need to change to get us closer to 10?&#8221; If they answer 6 or less, you have a problem. Go for no with \u201cI don\u2019t think we can make this work. Do you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be relentless and follow up like a friendly bulldog.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Never<\/strong>\u00a0let an active prospect get more than 10 days away from you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Always show up in their world like a happy squeaky wheel:<\/strong>\u00a0Circle back. Send more value. Ask more questions. Offer more engagement. Invite further dialogue.
