Snapdeal’s CTO Rajiv Mangla quits 810 506 C-Suite Network

Rajiv Mangla, the chief technology officer of online retailer Snapdeal, has resigned from the firm, a company spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.

Mangla will be transiting out of his role by 15 December, the spokesperson told VCCircle without giving any information about his replacement.

“Rajiv has played a key role in devising and implementing multiple technology initiatives at Snapdeal, including helping build Snapdeal Cirrus. His ability to continually align a range of ongoing projects with the evolving business needs of the organisation has been invaluable for Snapdeal,” said Rohit Bansal, co-founder of the homegrown e-commerce venture said.

Mangla’s next port of call is also not known.

The development was first reported by Business Standard.

The CTO’s exit comes two weeks after Anup Vikal, Snapdeal’s chief financial officer and general counsel of its parent firm Jasper Infotech Pvt. Ltd, resigned from the company. Vikal is expected to join Essar Oil as CFO.

Snapdeal has seen a string of top-level exits soon after its merger talks with Flipkart fell through. Earlier in August, the four-member founding team of Unicommerce Solutions, Snapdeal’s technology solutions division—Ankit Pruthi, Karun Singla, Vibhu Garg and Manish Gupta—quit the firm.
