It's Time to Bring Manufacturing Back to America

Building a food business isn’t easy.  It’s competitive out there.  Garage start-ups are popping up everywhere and are flourishing.  Customer and consumer demand is at an all-time high and a key difference maker is . . . trust!

Consumers who trust your brands and products will often pay a premium and will come back.  Those who don’t will step away and may do collateral damage.  Building trust starts with your culture.

In this brief presentation, Rue will share General Mills’ story of building this culture of Food Safety that has helped build Mom’s trust in our brands and has driven sales growth in a competitive environment.

The presenter is Rue Patel, Supply Chain Director at General Mills (Retired 2020). For 15 years, Rue led General Mills’ largest manufacturing site, and was accountable for delivering financial, service, and production results with a focus towards employee, consumer, and environmental responsibility and safety.

In 2020, Rue launched RueWorks, LLC., providing leadership and organizational consulting to small and mid-size businesses.
