This passion for problem solving led him to establish Maddock Douglas, Inc. in 1991. Maddock Douglas has become an internationally recognized innovation consulting firm for the C-Suite. Since establishing MD, Mike has been the founding partner in four other firms including Ringleader Ventures, a company that invests in early stage startups that have solved the challenges of C-Suite executives and large enterprises in the insurance and healthcare industries. Mike is a featured columnist for Forbes, a contributor to Bloomberg BusinessWeek and the author of three books about innovation – Free the Idea Monkey, Brand New: Solving the Innovation Paradox, and Flirting With the Uninterested—Innovating in a “Sold, Not Bought” Category. He is also a past Chapter president of both the Entrepreneurs Organization and Young Presidents Organization.
