About the Author

Matt DiGeronimo was born and raised in Hawthorne, NJ. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Nuclear Engineering, earned an MBA at the University of Connecticut, and is a PhD candidate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Organizational Leadership.

Matt is a retired Nuclear Submarine Lieutenant Commander. In addition to serving aboard multiple Los Angeles class fast-attack nuclear submarines, Matthew was the Lead Submarine Tactics Instructor at Navy Submarine School and a member of the Nuclear Propulsion Examination Board. In 2003, he served on the staff of COMMANDER MIDDLE EAST FORCE during which time he contributed to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in a variety of capacities.

Matthew’s post-Navy experience is highlighted by his successful turnaround of three businesses in diverse industries: a mergers & acquisitions company, a commercial real estate and property management company, and a coal-fired power plant. He currently serves as the Vice-President of Operations at Veolia North America where he oversees the operation and financial performance of 13 power plants in the central region of North America.
