Kurt Krause is an accomplished, driven hospitality professional with over 40 years of success in the Travel, Government Relations, and Higher Education industries. Kurt is best known for his ability to energize teams, nurture relationships, and manage large-scale projects, all the while mentoring others internally to ensure sustainable profitable growth. Some of his career highlights include as a part of a team, creating the Transportation Security Administration (2002) and passing the Higher Education Restructuring Act (2006). He also was Managing Director opening the Hilton Norfolk, “The Main”, in 2017 and The Cavalier Hotel Marriott Autograph Collection and Cavalier Beach Club in 2018, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Now as President & CEO of Visit Norfolk Kurt is also known for his love of the arts, having both acted, and danced, in several local area productions.
