If your goal is to do something you’ve never done before, how do you know how it feels? …. If you are saying, “I don’t,” take notice of that.

Think of the first time you did anything. Was it exciting? Was it scary? Did you have butterflies in your stomach? Maybe you even had more emotions and feelings occur.

What was it like when you first drove a car? Your first date? When you got married? For the parents… When you had your child? I bet you had a whole range of emotions.

Guess what? Success is no different. Going where you have never been, will evoke these feeling again.

Often, when people are going for their goal and have these feelings pop up, they slow down, stop or worse, run back the other way. It is easier and feels “normal” to do what you have always done. What will serve you the most is to embrace these feelings. Success doesn’t feel normal.

When things feel uncomfortable, move toward that feeling. Move toward your goal. The more comfortable you are with being uncomfortable, the faster you’ll grow.
